Private tutor in Salt Lake City, UT
University of Utah - Bachelors, Chemistry
I value the structure and vocabulary of language, but I am a passionate teacher because I enjoy understanding how people think. The best way to learn is through experience. Mastery of a subject comes through film, music, writing, reading, and especially speaking. I love experiencing new cultures through food, music, and people. In my spare time, I enjoy outdoor activities like rock climbing. I am from the exciting city of Boise, Idaho, and I grew up speaking Spanish in my home. I graduated from Mountain View high school with honors. I learned to speak French when I lived in Quebec, Canada for two years. I also lived in France for one summer. In informal settings, I have helped a lot of people learn French and Spanish. I also have experience in the reverse through teaching English to French and Spanish native speakers. I am an interpreter and translator in all of these languages in spontaneous situations and professional settings. Currently, I live in Utah and am a pre-med student at the University of Utah working towards majoring in chemistry with a physics emphasis. I understand the process of learning a new language and I can easily relate to my students.
