Experience

I tutored mathematics in both high school and college, ranging from Algebra to Calculus III. At Bucknell, I tutored in a private one-on-one setting as well as in a study group setting. Additionally I ran Calculus help sessions twice a week (for all levels Calculus). I've tutored middle and elementary school math privately. I find tutoring enormously rewarding and I am passionate about mathematics. I believe in teaching method and approach to build a deeper understanding of the subject material. I did not fully appreciate mathematics until I was halfway through college, and I believe this displays a fundamental flaw in our education system. Math should be about discovery, and not about memorizing equations. My goal is to make learning a positive experience for each of my students, so they can walk away with the same appreciation for mathematics that I have.
